A tie leading to a Super Over finish gives Medsol Labs – GHI an exciting win over Ajman Heroes in the Bukhatir S10 league powered by Fancode

Bukhatir S10 league powered by Fancode has been dishing out everything that can make a ten over tournament a treat to watch. If two days ago this tournament saw a breezy unbeaten knock of 135 from Usman Khan with a shower of sixes, on Saturday the match between Medsol Labs – GHI and Ajman Heroes ended in a Super Over finish. Interestingly, both teams scored an identical 113 for 6 in their 10 overs followed by a Super Over in which Medsol Labs – GHI emerged winners. The hero of the match was Shahan Akram from Medsol Labs – GHI.


In other matches, Pakistan Super Market (PSM) XI defeated Hemnet Properties by 48 runs through a fine allround show from Abdullah Azhar, while InterGlobe Marine recorded a hard-fought 12 runs win over The Vision Shipping through Hameed Khan’s unbeaten 77, and Colatta Chocolates defeated DCC Starlets by 52 runs through Krishan Paul’s fine three wicket spell.

The ninth match of this tournament between Pakistan Super Market (PSM) XI and Hemnet Properties saw a fine allround show from Abdullah Azhar. He top scored for Pakistan SuperMarket XI with 31 runs and took two timely wickets to ensure a 48 runs win over Hemnet Properties.


Pakistan Super Market (PSM) XI had opted to bat but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The first to go was their star batsman Dawood Ejaz to Furqan Shafi for 4. One-drop Ameer Hamza too fell to Furqn Shafi for 9. Krish B who dismissed top scorer Abdullah Azhar for 31 also dismissed Hafeez Afridi for 20. Haseeb Ur Rehman hit a quick 20 off just nine balls and ensured Pakistan Super Market XI a total of 132 for 6.


Hemnet Properties started their chase impressively scoring 37 runs in 4.3 overs before opener Rishabh Khare fell to Farzan Raja for 10. Farzan Raja struck again to get one-drop Rajeev Dudeja for 4. Haroon Altaf kept the scoreboard moving to score 35 before falling to Abdullah Azhar. Soon Abdukllah Azhar struck again to have Aziz Ansari stumped by wicketkeeper Haseerb Ur Rehman . Hemnet Properties never recovered from it and could post only 84 for 5 in 10 overs.

InterGlobe Marine and The Vision Shipping, two of the formidable teams in UAE’s domestic cricket clashed in the tenth match of the tournament. As expected it was a closely fought encounter. The Vision Shipping opted to field and InterGlobe Marine got off to a shaky start. They lost their star batsman Sandeep Singh to Shahbaz Ali for 6. Opener Hameed Khan stole the show through an unbeaten 77 off 37 balls with six boundaries and six sixers despite star batsmen like Yasir Khaleem falling for 9 and Vishnu Sukumaran for 7. InterGlobe Marine thus posted 113 for 3 in 10 overs.


The Vision Shipping’s start was disastrous. They lost opener Saqib Mehmood to the first ball of the innings to Touqeer Riyasat. Opener Malik Nadeem too fell for a duck to the third ball of the first over to Touqeer Riyasat. Mohammad Taimoor too struck twice to dismiss Shahbaz Ali for 4 and Jawad Ghani for 7. 


This was followed by a stubborn partnership between Waheed Ahmed (36) and Junaid Shamsu (31) but Waheed fell to Harry Bharwal and Junaid became Touqeer Riyasat’s third victim. The Vision Shipping thus got restricted to 101 for 7 in 10 overs and lost the match by 12 runs.  

The exciting match between Medsol Labs and Ajman Heroes was the 11th match of the tournament and the first of the double header on Saturday. Ajman Heroes opted to field and Medsol Labs got off to a good start with opener Shahan Akram scoring 30 runs out of the 47 runs opening partnership before he got run out. Nazir Aziz of Ajman Heroes clean bowled one-drop Muhammad Kaleem for 10. Uzair Maan took the score to 96 before he too got run out for 22. Syed Maqsood too fell for 30 to Sanchit Sharma and Medsol Labs posted 113 for 6 in 10 overs.

Ajman Heroes lost opener Mohammad Ajmal for a duck, clean bowled by Hafeez Ur Rehman. One-drop Khalid Shah and opener Sagar Kalyam took the score to 48 in 4.1 overs before Shah got bowled by Sunny Azam for 15. Sagar Kalyam too followed, caught behind by wicketkeeper Safeer Tariq off Hafeez Ur Rehman for 38. Rahul Chopra chipped in with 20. Sultan Ahmed (10) and Faizan Sheikh took the score close to the target. In the dramatic last over, Faizan Sheikh got run out for 16 to the fifth ball of the last over. Adnan Ul Mulk hit the last ball of the over from Abdul Malik to the long on boundary to tie the score.

In the Super Over, Ajman Heroes opener Rahul Chopra and Sagar Kalyam opened the innings. Sagar Kalyam got run out for 1. One-drop Khalid Shah (5n.o) and Rahul Chopra (7n.o) together helped post a total of 13 for 1.  Medsol Labs scored 14 for no loss from the first four balls. All the runs came from the bat of opener Shahan Akram who hit those 14 runs with a boundary and a six.

The 12th match of the tournament between Colatta Chocolates and DCC Starlets ended with Colatta Chocolates winning by 52 runs. Colatta Chocolates, opting to bat first, posted an impressive 137 for 4 in 10 overs. Opener Shinto George scored all the 21 runs in the opening partnership of 21 with Renjith Mani.  All the top order batsmen chipped in with useful scores starting with Renjith Mani with 32 runs before falling to accurate Shival Bawa. One-drop Hari Prasanth too scored 34 runs before falling to Shival Bawa. Shyam Ramesh remained unbeaten on 20 and Sapandeep Singh scored 15 before being clean bowled by Araash Raheja.


The chase began with DCC Starlets losing their opener and star player Ronak Panoly to the first ball, caught behind by wicketkeeper Sapandeep Singh off Manpreet Singh. Opener Rameez Shahzad and Shaurya Singh took the score to 26 when Manpreet struck again to clean bowl Rameez Shahzad for 17. This was followed by left-arm spinner Krishan Paul, hero of Colatta Chocolates’ Plate final of the 28th Bukhatir league wrecking the middle order. Just like he had bagged four wickets in the Plate final with his accurate spin, he removed Shaurya Singh for 7, Rishab Mukherjee for 17 and Shival Bawa for 12 to return with figures of 3 for 14 in his two overs. DCC Starlets thus got restricted to 85 for 8 in 10 overs.
