Jordan Cox’s scintillating unbeaten 90 helps Bangla Tigers leap over Deccan Gladiators

Kent County team wicketkeeper-batter Jordan Cox stole the thunder by scoring a scintillating unbeaten 90 and guiding Bangla Tigers to an impressive 20 runs win over Deccan Gladiators in the eighth match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. His knock studded with eight boundaries and six sixes gave Bengal Tigers a whopping total of 143 for 4 in 10 overs.   Cox along with Dasun Shanaka (25n.o) put on an unbeaten 110 runs off 39 balls for the fifth wicket. It was a treat to watch this pair thrash the Deccan Gladiators bowlers. The reputed Gladiator’s batters took up the challenge through their skipper Nicholas Pooran’s 41 of 17 balls with three boundaries and four sixes and Fabian Allen’s unbeaten 40 off 16 balls with five sixes and a boundary. Samp Army overcome Chennai Braves’ brave fightback to win by seven wickets and one ball to spare

Nayar From Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi. Chennai Braves gave Morrisville Samp Army the jitters before bowing to a seven-wicket defeat with one ball to spare in a hard fought seventh match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.   Braves, whose top order crumbled to 27 for 6, fought back through their skipper Charith Asalanka (31) and UAE’s Aayan Afzal Khan (19n.o) to put on a 49 runs partnership for the seventh wicket. This gave them a total of 97 for 7.   Braves bravely battled to check Samp Army’s run flow despite fine knocks from openers Andries Gous (43) and Faf du Plessis (31). Northern Warriors opener Kennar Lewis and Hazratullah Zazai thrashed Team Abu Dhabi’s bowling attack to breeze to a ten-wicket win with one over to spare in the sixth match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium.   Northern Warriors, after winning toss and electing to bowl, restricted Abu Dhabi to 103 for 7 in 10 overs with Tabraiz Shamsi leading the tight bowling attack with two wickets for 17 runs. Lewis and Zazai batted smoothly hitting sixes and boundaries with ease. New York Strikers restricted Bangla Tigers to 101 for 7 in 10 overs and recorded an impressive eight-wicket win in the fifth match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. Kusal Perera’s unbeaten 50 and Mohammad Waseem’s 41 ensured New York Strikers their first win with 14 balls to spare after they had lost the opening match to Deccan Gladiators. New York Strikers’s Chamika Karunaratne with a fine spell of 3 for 22 backed by Muhammad Jawadullah (2 for 21) bowled brilliantly to check Bangla Tigers’ run flow. Jason Roy leads Chennai Braves’ nail-biting win over Team Abu Dhabi

Chennai Braves won a nail-biting thriller beating Team Abu Dhabi by four runs through Jason Roy’s elegant unbeaten 84 in the fourth match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. Team Abu Dhabi restricted Chennai Braves to 115 for 4 in 10 overs despite Roy’s knock which came off 39 balls with seven sixes and six boundaries. Leus du Plooy, a 28-year-old England county player, hit an unbeaten 47, and along with Colin Ingram (20n.o), they pulled Team Abu Dhabi close to victory.  But a tight spell of 13 runs from two overs and one wicket from Sam Cook upset Team Abu Dhabi’s hopes in this low scoring thriller. Delhi Bulls displayed their batting strength to overcome Deccan Gladiators’s challenging score of 120 for 2 in 10 overs to win the third match of the Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Cricket Stadium by nine wickets with nine balls to spare. The architects of Delhi Bulls’ victory was Quinton De Kock, who carried his form from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, to remain unbeaten on 50 off 26 balls with three boundaries and four sixes. He put on a 73 runs opening partnership with Johnson Charles, who smashed 36 off 13 balls with five boundaries and two sixes.  Skipper Rovman Powell chipped in with 31 runs off 12 balls with five boundaries and a six.   Deccan Gladiators’ 120 for 2 in ten overs was carved out of Tom Kohler-Cadmore’s another fine knock. Nayar From Zayed Cricket Stadium Abu Dhabi.  Angelo Mathews led from the front by recording a hat-trick to bowl Northern Warriors to an exciting nine-runs win over Morrisville Samp Army in the second match of the Abu Dhabi T10 opening day at the Zayed Cricket Stadium. Although Northern Warriors was restricted to 103 for 5 in 10 overs, Samp Army could muster only 94 for 8. Mathews produced a spell of 3 for 19 from his two overs backed by James Neesham (2 for 19) and player of the match Abhimanyu Mithun (2 for 12).   Earlier, Samp Army skipper Moeen Ali had won the toss and elected to field.
