In case you have run out of confidence to be successful …
By K.R. Nayar
Today’s blog is about being successful by overcoming odds.
The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed people to tight situations, and there are
many who are low in confidence these days. I hope this read motivates people to begin a new phase in life by merely telling yourself that you have it in
you what it takes to be successful.
While I enjoy writing stories related to cricket, I also aim to convey an inspiring message through those stories. We are now passing through a phase that is challenging to most people, be it health or work-related, especially due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic has shattered the lives of many people. Many have lost jobs, some have had their business coming crashing down, and there are numerous stories of people being forced to lead a lonely life, unable to meet their dear ones.
I believe the solution to most problems lies in ourselves. It is for each one of us to identify the problem and work towards finding a solution and move forward. But for this, one has to look ahead. Setbacks are sometimes so shocking that one remains in that depressed state for a long time. That is the time one has to move forward, and this is possible only by strengthening our mind.
The most important factor to move forward is to have a clear mind. At no point in time should we think of the person or situation that has pushed us to this stage. That, to me, is a total waste of time and energy. So every time a negative thought comes to our mind, we must shoo it away and replace that with dreams of success once again.
It is my firm belief that it is our thoughts that make us strong or weak. If we tend to believe that we do not have the strength to go ahead and move on, it will be tough. This is where self-built confidence comes into play. We must keep telling ourselves that we have the ability in us to emerge successfully.
Many blame the circumstances they grew up or point out unfortunate happenings that prevented them from giving their best. What we need to remember is that most successful people did not achieve success just due to their circumstances. If we believe in wanting to grow in life and be successful, then all unfavorable situations can be overcome.
From the moment a child starts thinking of success and talking about it, that is the time parents can stop worrying about him or her. It is very rare that people get an ideal situation or surrounding to be successful. It is their thinking that makes them successful, especially the self-confidence that they can do it.
Another factor about success is that it is not about achieving something immediately. It is a process of getting better every day by striving hard. Success comes from acquiring more knowledge however old or young one is in life. There is nothing that can stop us from acquiring knowledge except our own self.
A common excuse I hear among many is lack of time or that I am too old to learn anything new. Lack of time is due to a lack of discipline in our daily schedule. We need to ensure that we do not float around like a dry leaf picking things that come our way. It is very important to fix a time to focus on certain things that you need to get done during the day.
We can save precious time by pushing away any negative thoughts that try to creep in. The day we start believing that we are born to succeed, that will be the start of another phase of our life.
So let's wake up tomorrow, put it down in writing that 'I am born to succeed', and start working towards excelling ourselves. Then whatever work we do day after day is success, and hence enjoy it!
