Abu Dhabi T10 chairman Shaji Ul Mulk hopes the government will permit maximum spectators to watch matches

With some of the top hard-hitters of the game playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament, Shaji Ul Mulk believes this event is among the most sought after event in world cricket today. He expects this edition to produce exciting cricket and that it will reach out to more fans around the world.

With all the leading hard-hitters in cricket set to play in the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament to be held at the Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, the organisers of the event are hoping that these matches can be watched live from the stadium by a large number of fans here in the UAE.

Speaking to krbuzz.blogspot.com,  Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi T10, who visualized this format, said: “Over the years we've seen a huge crowd turn up for this tournament. The record crowd for all matches has been the biggest boost for this event. We are hoping that the government permits maximum attendance for the matches in this fourth edition.”

For Shaji Ul Mulk, this edition is a challenge. “The fact that we are able to stage this tournament during Covid times is a big achievement. The response from the players to play in this event has been tremendous.  Additionally, this year’s icon players and retained players have made every team a well-balanced unit.”

Expressing great happiness at the growth of this event that began in 2017, Shaji Ul Mulk said, “The Abu Dhabi T10 tournament began in Sharjah as an experimental event in 2017. It has now grown from strength to strength over the years and is today talked about as the apt format for Olympics. We are also delighted that recently Sri Lanka became the first full member to announce a T10 cricket format as part of their cricketing calendar, and some more nations are following suit.”

In an effort to prevent any illegal activities, the T10 management has appointed Anti-Corruption officers who will put in all efforts to ensure no one corrupts the game. The professional manner in which the matches have been held over the years, coupled with the facilities provided, have made this tournament special for all cricketers around the world.
“It is with pride we can say that this event is a very much sought after cricketing event. This edition can be watched by more cricket fans around the world than it did last year,” added Shaji as the event will be broadcast on Sony in India and Pakistan, Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, SuperSport in South Africa, and by Abu Dhabi Sports in the Middle East and North African countries.
