Dr Shafi Ul Mulk, a cricket and badminton enthusiast and humanitarian, receives World Book of Records honour

Over the years, Dr Shafi Ul Mulk has been relentlessly helping people in calamity or in need. This sports enthusiast has provided help to people not only suffering from Covid-19 but also those affected by floods. He has also been supplying free meals to the needy in UAE apart from mentoring youngsters to achieve their educational goals. The World Book of Records has honoured him for his efforts.

UAE based Dr Shafi Ul Mulk, President of Mulk Health Care has been honoured for his dedicated and relentless commitment to promoting protection and safety against the Covid 19 pandemic. The prestigious World Book of Records of London recently presented him with a certificate of commitment.

The World Book of Records awards this certificate to those who have served the society with honesty and sincerity in their efforts towards reducing human sufferings. Dr Shafi has been contributing to the welfare of society as part of Mulk Health Care’s CSR objectives. Recently, he had provided ventilators and oxygen concentrators for the needy when the Covid-19 pandemic had surged in India.


Dr Shafi, who was the co-owner of the Kerala Kings cricket team that emerged as the first champions of the T10 League in 2017, had also provided basic amenities to Kerala when the flood created havoc in the south Indian state in 2018. The World Book of Records felt that Dr Shafi deserves the honour for having helped people in the prevention of Coronavirus disease as specified by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The UK based World Book of Records Limited honours people who serve society with not only certificates but also medals and badges. They also honour those who break records. Among those recently honoured include Bollywood actor Prem Chopra for his contributions to the field of acting, former Indian hockey team captain Dhanraj Pillay for his extraordinary skills and devotion towards the game of hockey and his contribution towards promoting the game. The World Book of Records had also appreciated the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh’s vaccination drive for vaccinating 16,91,967 people in a single day by presenting a certificate to Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state's Chief Minister.

Dr Shafi is a badminton player who had played in India’s national tournaments. He was Andhra Pradesh’s junior and senior champion and even now plays in some of the domestic tournaments in the UAE.

Speaking to krbuzz.blogspot.com, Dr Shafi said: “I feel humbled and blessed to be recognised by World Book of Records for the efforts carried out through the Mulk Charity Trust and the work done as part of our CSR objectives. I believe in rendering help on time to save a life.”

It is not medical aid alone that Dr Shafi focuses on but also on social causes. He helps to conduct community marriages for a minimum of 100 couples every year, provides scholarship grants to needy students, lends fiscal support to charitable institutes involved in technical and vocational training aimed at educating and preparing students for the job market, as well as empowering rural girls by backing them in sports.
