Jinay Shah's successive match winning show, Hrithik Haridas’s two half centuries, Salar Khan’s 50, and Ayaan Misbah’s 53 in vain, an all-round show from Jaidev Gattani, and fine spells from Arnav Bharath and Varun displayed in the last six league round matches of Sharjah CBFS juniors 2022 tournament

Jinay Shah steered Simply Cricket Academy through two successive match winning performances against Victoria Cricket Academy and Hidayat Cricket Academy in the last of the six league round matches of the Sharjah CBFS juniors 2022 Under-12 tournament at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Hrithik Haridas Hareesh’s brilliant knock of 74 steered Tellicherry Cricket Academy to a 39-runs win over MS Cricket Academy in another Under-12 match.



Among the bowlers who sparkled in the last six matches are Arnav Bharath who ensured Tellicherry Cricket Academy a 30-run victory over Sharjah Cricket Academy with a spell of 3 for 21 and Varun who bagged two wickets for just eight runs in Victoria Cricket Academy’s eight-wicket win over MS Cricket Academy by 8 wickets. There was also a fighting unbeaten knock of 50 from Sharjah Cricket Academy Salar Khan in the same Under-14 match that went in vain. Maxtalent Cricket Academy’s Jaidev Gattani produced a fine all-round show hitting 25 runs and bagging two wickets in his team’s 28 runs win over Simply Cricket Academy in another Under-14 match. In this match, Ayaan Misbah also hit a fighting 53 runs.

 


Simply Cricket Academy, which has fielded players only under the age of 11 in this Under-12 event, recorded an impressive double win. In their first match against Victoria Academy, Simply Cricket Academy, opting to field first, restricted Victoria Academy to 80 for 9 in 20 overs. Only three batsmen as openers Niteesh Suresh (13), Nabhya Patel (10) and Darhsan Manikandan, entered double figures. Jinay Shah bowled tight to bag two wickets for 16 runs. Simply Cricket Academy raced to victory in 14.4 overs through Valen Pais ‘s 20 runs and Naysha Tivari’s unbeaten 10.

Jinay Shah sparkled with the bat in Simply Cricket Academy’s five-wicket win over Hidayat Cricket Academy. Opting to bat first, Hidayat Academy posted 101 for 7 in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Simply Cricket Academy won in 19 overs. Valen Pais displayed his consistency to score a valuable 21 runs while Jinay Shah ensured the victory through an unbeaten 24.

In another Under-12 match, Tellicherry Cricket Academy recorded a 39 runs win over MS Cricket Academy due to Hrithik Haridas Hareesh knock of 74 that came off 52 balls with seven boundaries. Opener Hayyan Palker hit 29 while wicketkeeper Nakul Rejoy scored an unbeaten 30. These three helped Tellicherry Academy post a whopping 174 for 2 in 20 overs.


MS Cricket Academy found the target too tough to chase. Opener Thaman Sai tried hard through a fine knock of 46 off 36 balls with four boundaries. But Tellicherry bowled tight led by Yuv Kapoor with two wickets to ensure their victory.

In the Under-14 matches, Victoria Academy scored an emphatic eight wicket win over MS Academy by restricting them to 96 for 9 despite skipper Shashank’s 31 runs. Led by Varun with two wickets for eight runs and backed by Dharm Patel and Adwait Datta Sohani with two wickets, they destroyed MS Academy’s run flow. Victoria Academy won in 14.2 overs through openers Ahmed Khudadad (44) and Vrundar Bhattad (37).

 


Tellicherry Cricket Academy defeated Sharjah Cricket Academy by 30 runs due to a fine three wicket spells led by Arnav Bharath (3 for 21) well backed by Taulik Kaushik (3 for 23) and Sai Anikat (3 for 17). The three restricted Sharjah Academy to 102 for 9 in 20 overs. In fact, Sharjah Cricket Academy were able to post such a score due to skipper Salar Khan’s fighting 50 off 39 balls with seven boundaries.


Tellicherry Cricket Academy had posted 132 for 6 in 20 overs through consistent Hrithik Haridas Hareesh’s 59. His knock came off 49 balls with five boundaries. Zayd S Ahmed too chipped in with 21 runs.

Maxtalent Cricket Academy defeated Simply Cricket Academy by 28 runs through Jaidev Gattani’s fine show. He hit 25 runs in Maxtalent’s scored of 134 for 6 in 20 overs. Sourish Singla top scored with 28 runs.

Chasing the target, Simply Cricket Academy could muster only 106 for 9 in 20 overs despite Ayaan Misbah 53 off 44 balls with seven boundaries. Led by Jaidev Gattani (2 for 26) and backed by Abhimaan Sharma (2 for 20) and Gurnish (2 for 15) Maxtalent won the match.
