Future Mattress and InterGlobe Marine dished out great performances through their star players. An unbeaten knock of 65 from Abdul Ghaffar and a two wicket spell ensured Future Mattress a 96-runs win over The Vision Shipping in the 28th edition of the Bukhatir League powered by Fancode. This match also witnessed a fine spell of 5 for 23 from Future Mattress’ Rohan Mustafa.

In another match, InterGlobe Marine defeated Hemnet Properties by 7 wickets through Basil Hameed’s unbeaten 56 and one crucial wicket.

In the The Vision Shipping – Future Mattress match, Vision Shipping opted to field. UAE’s star allrounder Rohan Mustafa opened the innings with Ansar Khan and the pair put on 65 runs in just 5.3 overs. Rohan Mustafa fell in the sixth over to Shahbaz Ali for 37. One-drop Abdul Shakoor hit a quick 18 before falling to Sajjad Malook. Abdul Ghaffar, who walked in, started striking smoothly, and together with opener Ansar Khan, they took the score past the 100 run mark. In the 11th over with the score reading 107, Ansar Khan got run out for 33.

Abdul Ghaffar and Amjad Gul increased the total before Gul got bowled by Asim Kamal for 20. Thereafter. Ghaffar did not get much support but he went for his shots and remained unbeaten on 65 off 31 balls with two boundaries and six sixers. He ensured Future Mattress posted a total of 208 for 6 in 20 overs and also bag the
Hemani Fragrances Game – Changer/Best batter award.

The Vision Shipping lost their opener Malik Nadeem, who has been a consistent scorer for them, in the second over. He was bowled by Abdul Ghaffar for 1. Opener Ubaidullah Muhammad got out to Tassawar Jammu for 7. Ali Abid and Shahbaz Ali tried to steady the innings to take the score to 46 when Ali Abid got out caught behind by wicketkeeper Abdul Shakoor off Abdul Ghaffar for 12.

Rohan Mustafa picked his first wicket by trapping Shahbaz Ali leg before for 20. After Muhammad Mudassar got Asim Kamal, he also picked the wicket of Jawad Ghani for 14. After that it was Rohan Mustafa all the way. He destroyed the Vision Shipping batting trapping Fayyaz Ahmed leg before for a duck, Imran Javed out for 23, Sajjad Malook for a duck, and Irad Ali for 15 and went on to bag the
Hemani Fragrances Game – Changer/Best bowler award. The Vision Shipping was all out for 112 in 13.2 overs.

InterGlobe Marine sails to victory

On paper, InterGlobe Marine is superior to Hemnet Properties. But Hemnet Properties put up a fighting show before losing by seven wickets. They bravely opted to bat first. Though they lost opener Haroon Altaf leg before to Junaid Siddique for 1, opener Harikrishan Valloli and one-down Moeez Waqar resisted the tight bowling attack. Harikrishnan played some lovely shots before Harry Bharwal got him bowled for 32.

InterGlobe Marine skipper Asif Mumtaz had Aziz Ansari brilliantly caught at the boundary line for 10. At the score of 82, Moeez Waqar, who held on to score 25, got out clean bowled by Basil Hameed who had managed to generate a good turn from the wicket. Muhammad Farhan and Saqib Ashraf took the score past the 100-run mark when Farhan got run out for 7. Vishnu Sukumaran had Rakesh Rawat out for 1 but Saqif Ashraf hit an unbeaten 37 to ensure a moderate total of 117 for 6 in 20 overs.

For InterGlobe Marine who are well known for their batting strength, it was an easy target. But Hemnet Properties made it difficult for them at the start. With the fourth ball of the first over, Muhammad Farhan clean bowled the aggressive Sandeep Singh for a duck. Worse was to follow. The consistent Asif Khan got caught by Saqib Ashraf off Taha Ahmed Khan for 5. This spell won him the
Hemani Fragrances Game – Changer/Best bowler award

Next man Vishnu Sukumaran too did not last long as he became another Taha Ahmed Khan victim for 3. However, Basil Hameed, known as a crisis man having played many match winning knocks for the UAE, quickly settled down. He got good support from Touqeer Riyasat and they took the team to the target in 10.3 overs. Basil Hameed remained unbeaten on 56 off 32 balls with nine boundaries and a six to bag the
Hemani Fragrances Game – Changer/Best batsman award, while Toqueer Riyasat remained unbeaten on 41 off just 19 balls with two fours and four sixes.
