Jiju Janardhanan, displaying the confidence and experience that he carries with him, steered Pacific Group to a six-wicket win over 11 ACE in the CBFS T20 match on Sunday. Playing in the second double header of the day, Janardhanan provided a breezy start to Pacific Group through a knock of 47 off 32 balls with six boundaries and two sixes and helped his team win in 17.3 overs. He also bagged two wickets to restrict 11 ACE to 130 for 7 in 20 overs.

Pacific Group won the toss and put 11 Ace into bat. Usman Khan and Sagar Kalyan, two of the finest hitters of the ball, came out to bat but they could not play their usual style. At the score of 13, Usman Khan fell to Akif Raja for 7. Sagar Kalyan and Khalid Shah took the score to 35 when Jiju Janardhanan had Sagar Kalyan out for 13. It looked like Khalid Shah and Shahan Akram would take their team to a good total when Jiju Janardhanan struck again to remove Khalid Shah for 27.

Shahan Akram got caught behind by wicketkeeper Zeeshan Abid off Mujahid Amin for 19 when 11 ACE were two runs short of the 100 run mark. Rahul Chopra tried to force the pace but Pacific Group bowled tightly. At the score of 108, he fell to Irfan Khattak for a run-a-ball 30. Irfan Khattak then also went on to clean bowl Sunny Shah for duck while Nilansh Keswani got run out for 2 . 11 ACE innings thus ended at 130 for 7 in 20 overs.

Pacific Group was given a positive start by opener Jiju Janardhanan who went for some big hits. Soon his partner Fayyaz Ahmed too began to hit but he got trapped leg before for 17. His knock had two sixes and a boundary. Jiju Janardhanan and Abhay Jotin took the score to 73 when Jiju got out to Jiyas for 47. Mayank Choudhary and Abhay steered their team past the 100 run mark. At the score on 114, Riaz Khaliq had Mayank stumped by wicketkeeper Usman Khan for 20.

Next man Ansh Tandon lofted Nilansh Kewsani into the hands of Sagar Kalyan for 3.  Abhay ensured the victory in 17.3 overs remaining unbeaten on 40. His knock off 34 balls had four boundaries.
