Karwan Cricket Club’s Abuzar Tariq lives up to his reputation of producing match winning shows to beat DCC Starlets in the 34th Sharjah Ramadan Cup T20 tournament

Karwan Cricket Club’s Abuzar Tariq who is known to produce match winning performances did that again in the 15th match of the 34th Sharjah Ramadan Cup T20 tournament at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. He has been a sensation in Sharjah Cricket’s tournaments and in this match his allround show through a knock of 56 runs ensured Karwan Cricket Club a total of 171 for 6. He then went on to take a wicket and a catch to bowl out DCC Starlets for 126 in 19 overs and record a 45-runs victory for his team.


Abuzar Tariq’s another match winning show

Karwan Cricket Club won the toss and opted to bat against DCC Starlets. Their star batsman and opener Abuzar Tariq along with consistent Qamar Awan put on 40 runs in 4.4 overs. Qamar Awan got out to Soorya Sathish for 20. One-drop Zahid got clean bowled to Soorya Sathish for a duck. This was followed by a 67 runs partnership for the fourth wicket between Muhammad Afzal and Abuzar Tariq. Afzal got out to Aryan Praveen for 25. One run later, Abuzar Tariq too got out to Aryan Praveen for 56. His knock off 35 balls had seven boundaries and two sixes.

Next man Moazam Hayat got out stumped by wicketkeeper Vaibhav Vaswani off Saad Abdullah for 2.  A stubborn partnership of 55 runs followed between Furqan Khalil and Haris Khanzada that swelled the total to 169 for 6 before Khalil got out to Soorya Sathish for 31. Khanzada remained unbeaten on 20 and Karwan Cricket Club posted an impressive total of 171 for 6 in 20 overs.


DCC Starlets suffered once again from their unsteady batting. They began with opener Vaibhav Vaswani and Shaurya Singh putting on 23 runs in 3.4 overs. Vaswani got out to Saif Ghouri for 13. Shaurya Singh too fell at the score of 31, caught behind by wicketkeeper Muhammax Afzal off Zahid for 15. Then wickets began to fall at regular intervals starting with skipper Shival Bawa getting caught and bowled by Zahid for a duck and Faisal Rehman Soudagar getting trapped leg before to Zeeshan Ahmed for 3.

When DCC Starlets’ score read 75 for 6,  Soorya Sathish got out to Babar Iqbal for 7. Three runs later, Raizal Nadir too got out to Babar Iqbal for 32. Defeat began to stare at DCC Starlets when Saad Abdullah got clean bowled by Haris Khanzada for 3 and Aryan Praveen got out caught by Abuzar Tariq off Zeeshan Ahmed for 19. The innings ended after Farman was run out for 12 and the hero of the day Abuzar Tariq removed Parin Sethi for 1. DCC Starlets got bowled out for 126 in 19 overs.
