Mohsen Mattoo’s four wickets lifts Valley Boyz while Sandeep Singh and Salman Khan’s unbeaten half centuries give InterGlobe Marine a ten-wicket win

Valley Boyz’s Mohsen Mattoo produced a fine spell of four wickets for 11 runs and bowled out SRK Diesel Trading for 82 to help his team record a five-wicket win in the 11th match of the 34th Sharjah Ramadan Cup T20 tournament at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

 


In the 12th match, InterGlobe Marine scored an emphatic ten-wicket win over Nadim Cricket Club through Sandeep Singh’s unbeaten 65 and Salman Khan’s unbeaten 52. Nadim Cricket Club were restricted to 114 for 5 in 20 overs.

 

Mohsen Mattoo’s deadly four wicket spell

 

SRK Diesel Trading won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Suliman Saeed got out to the second ball of the first over from Usman Trumboo for a duck. At the score of 11, Usman Trumboo removed opener Saqib Khan too for 7. When Muhammed Dawood got run out, that too by Usman Trumboo, and Ajmal Khan fell to Saqib Amin, half of SRK Diesel was back in the dug-out for 32.

 

Nasir Afridi kept the scoreboard moving despite wickets falling at the other end. Together with Abdullah Khan, he took the score to 53 before Khan got out to Mohsen Mattoo for 5. Soon Khan Wazir got run out for 3.  Mohsen Mattoo then struck twice to remove Nisar Afridi, who carried the innings on his shoulder for 50, and Muhammad Asad Ullah, caught and bowled for a duck. Nisar Afridi’s knock off 36 balls had four boundaries and two sixes. When Rehan Dilawar Malik became Mattoo’s fourth victim, SRK Diesel Trading got bowled out for 82 in 14.2 overs. Mohsen Mattoo returned with figures of 4 for 11.

 


Chasing the easy target, Valley Boyz openers Mohsen Mattoo and Mafooz Ilahi put on 21 runs before Ilahi got out to Muhammad Asad Ullah for 8. Mohsen Mattoo followed, caught behind by wicketkeeper Rehan Dilwar Malik off Saqib Manshad for 5. Eleven runs later, Majid Manzoor got out to Saqib Manshad for 12. Nasir Afridi clean bowled Zaid Ali for 5. At 54 for 6,  Danish Ahmad got trapped leg before by Khan Wazir for 1. This was followed by a stubborn match-winning unbeaten 29 runs partnership between Usman Pandith (30n.o) and Hemayun Bazaz (12n.o). This ensured Valley Boyz a five-wicket win in 12.2 overs.

Sandeep Singh and Salman Khan hits InterGlobe Marine to victory


In the 12th match, Nadim Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat. Their opener Altaf Commando got out leg before to Mohammad Taimoor for 2. Opener Waqas Ahmad followed falling to Danish Qureshi for 8. Zahid Ameer and Abdul Rehman put on 57 runs for the third wicket and took the score to 73 before Zahid Ameer got out to Harry Bharwal for 33.



At the same score, Abdul Rehman got out clean bowled by Shahnawaz Khan for 24. Muhamad Rehan Shah took the score past the 100 run but at the score of 108, skipper Nadim got out clean bowled by Shahiz Aziz for 7. Nadim Cricket Club got restricted to 114 for 5 in 20 overs with Muhamad Rehan Shah unbeaten on 26.

 


Chasing the target, InterGlobe Marine openers Sandeep Singh and Salman Khan went for their shots right away. Sandeep Singh cracked an unbeaten 65 off 32 balls with five boundaries and fives sixes . Salman Khan scored an unbeaten 52 in 37 balls with five boundaries and two sixes.

 

InterGlobe Marine reached the target in 11.3 overs and won the match by ten wickets.
