on Thursday night.
Nabeel Arshad and Haider Ali’s spell
Seven Districts won the toss and
elected to field. The Vision Shipping opener and captain, Saqib Mehmood, fell
at the score of 6 to the second ball of the second over from Abdul Ghaffar for
3. One-drop Kamran Atta got out at the score of 15, caught behind by
wicketkeeper Muhammad Kashif off Zeeshan Naseer for 4. Zeeshan Naseer also
dismissed Mayank Choudhary for 4 at the score of 23. Fayaz Frank and opener
Muhammad Sheraz pushed the score to 43 when Fayaz was clean bowled by Nabeel
Arshad for 8.
When Shahnawaz Khan was clean
bowled by Haider Ali for 3, The Vision Shipping's hopes of crossing the 100-run
mark began to fade. Four runs later, Umar Arshad became another victim of
Nabeel Arshad, scoring 1. Nabeel Arshad also removed Shahbaz Ali for a duck,
reducing The Vision Shipping to 51 for 8. Haider Ali picked up the valuable
wicket of Sajjad Malook for 6, and Nabeel Arshad completed his four-wicket
spell by dismissing Rohid for a duck. The Vision Shipping were thus bowled out
for 61 in 14.5 overs.
Chasing the easy target, Seven Districts also lost their opener Muhammad Kashif early. He fell to the fourth ball of the first over, caught behind by wicketkeeper Umar Arshad off Saqib Mehmood for 2. The consistent Raees Ahmad swelled the total to 43 in four overs, hitting 27 runs in 11 balls with six boundaries. He got out caught behind by wicketkeeper Umar Arshad off Shahbaz Ali.
One-drop Lahiru Sandaruwan got
out for 5, giving wicketkeeper Umar Arshad his third catch, but off Shahbaz Ali
for 5. One-drop Farman Ali and Muhammad Saghir Khan steered Seven Districts to
the target in just 8.1 overs. Farman Ali remained unbeaten on 16, and Muhammad
Saghir Khan (8n.o) recorded a comfortable seven-wicket win.
