Devendra Bishoo leads California Knights’ tight bowling to stop New York Warriors in the 14th match of the US Masters T10

Bishoo put the brakes on New York Warriors by bagging two wickets and giving
away just 10 runsto win the match for California Knights in the 14th
match of the US Masters T10 held at Lauderhill, Florida, on Wednesday. Bishoo,
who once in 2016, had bagged eight wickets in an innings against Pakistan for a
Test match haul of 10 wickets for 174, showed how accurate and deadly he can be
with his spin.
California Knights had won the toss and elected to bat, but they failed to put up a big total. Opener and skipper Aaron Finch, along with Jacques Kallis, put on 32 runs in 2.5 overs. Finch was the first to go falling to Abdur Rehman for 24. Milind Kumar joined Kallis and took the score to 53 in 4.6 overs. Jerome Taylor got Milind Kumar out for 3. Two runs later. Jacques Kallis too got out to Dhammika Prasad for 18.
Ricardo Powell pushed the score to 82 when Taylor trapped him leg before for 18. Ashley Nurse steered the total past the 100 run mark along with Irfan Pathan. At the score of 106, Nurse got out clean bowled by Sohail Khan for 22. Irfan Pathan remained unbeaten on 7, and California Kinghts could muster only 106 for 5 in 10 overs.
Chasing the gettable total,
Devendra Bishoo made it tough for New York Warriors. He first had Kamarn Akmal
stumped by wicketkeeper Denesh Ramadin for 12. He also got the consistent
Richard Levi out for 4. Thereafter, it was tight bowling from the California
bowlers.
Tillakaratne Dilshan tried his best to push his team to the target. He cracked 43 runs before being run out. His 27 ball knock had three boundaries and three sixes. Misbah Ul Haq hit an unbeaten 22 while Jonathan Carter scored an unconquered 2. New York Warriors needed 22 runs off the last over but could only get five runs from that over bowled by Irfan Pathan. California Knights won the match by 15 runs.
