Richard Levi and skipper Misbah Ul Haq carry New York Warriors into the final of the US Masters T10 League

Richard Levi, inspired and backed by his skipper Misbah Ul Haq, carried the New York Warriors into the final of the US Masters T10 League. This feat was achieved in the Qualifier 1 held at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida, on Saturday. The consistently performing Levi delivered an unbeaten 47, while Misbah Ul Haq stood firm with an unconquered 29, successfully chasing down the California Knights' total of 96 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs. The New York Knights triumphed by eight wickets with eight balls to spare.


California Knights won the toss and elected to bat. The opening duo of Jacques Kallis and Aaron Finch set an impressive tone by amassing 60 runs in just 5.5 overs. However, Kallis fell to Shahid Afridi after scoring 29. Subsequently, at a score of 77, Aaron Finch, who contributed 42 runs, was dismissed by Jerome Taylor. Finch's 22-ball innings included six boundaries and a six.


Irfan Pathan, the match winner in their prior two matches, was dismissed for 1 by Umaid Asif. Umaid Asif further secured Ricardo Powell's wicket, dismissing him for a duck. Suresh Raina concluded the innings unbeaten on 2, leaving the California Knights restricted to a total of 96 runs for 4 wickets in 10 overs.


During the pursuit of the target, Krishmar Santokie managed to dismiss the aggressive New York Warriors opener Tillakaratne Dilshan for 8. At a score of 28, the other opener, Kamran Akmal, was bowled out by Devendra Bishoo for 9.


Richard Levi and skipper Misbah Ul Haq then stabilized the innings, forging a 69-run partnership for the third wicket. Richard Levi's unbeaten 47 came from 24 deliveries, including four boundaries and three sixes. Misbah Ul Haq remained undefeated with 29 runs off 13 balls, featuring four boundaries and a six. The New York Warriors clinched victory by eight wickets with eight balls to spare.
