Despite being an associate member nation, the UAE will become the first among associate nations to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the ICC Under-19 World Cup, and now the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The significance of this achievement is evident from the fact that the UAE’s international venues will have the distinction of hosting World Cups of both genders and Test matches. By K.R. Nayar from Kerala   Kerala Cricket Association’s (KCA) franchise model Premier League commenced on September 2 (Monday) at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam film superstar Mohanlal inaugurated this event, titled The Kerala Cricket League. Personally, this is a proud moment for me, having held various positions in this cricket association, including serving as the joint secretary of the Trivandrum Cricket Association during the days when KCA was striving to promote cricket in the state.
